Don’t miss a weekend of excitement at this years Latino Book & Family Festival taking place at the California State University Los Angeles on October 9th & 10th. It is important for everyone to show support at these types of events to help promote the importance of reading specifically in the Latino community.
We live in one of the most powerful countries in the world yet there is a lack in the amount of people who read. Statistics have demonstrated that in the U.S. people read 0-1 book a year while in other countries such as Europe people read up to 4-5 books a year. By having events like the book festival we hope to change that especially within the Latino community. This is a great opportunity to go out with your family and get inspired by some of the brightest Latino literature writers.
On August 7th at the Pan American Bank in L.A. there will be a fundraiser to help raise funds for the Latino Book Festival. It will be a wine & cheese event with a silent auction. Please show your support by joining us in a night of fun. To RSVP click here
