BREATHE LA President and CEO Enrique Chiock welcomed an audience of more than 50 community and business leaders to the inaugural BREATHE LA Pollution & Solutions event held June 19th. The panel discussion was the first of six salons dedicated to in-depth dialogue on climate change, environment, and personal and business roles towards improving air quality and quality-of-life in Los Angeles County. Panelists included Dr. Ralph Appy, Port of Los Angeles; Dr. Robert Kanter, Port of Long Beach; Tom Politeo, Sierra Club; and Jesse Marquez, Coalition For A Safe Environment and featured Q&A responders Romel Pascual, Associate Director for Environment Office of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa; Bianca Román, Office of Long Beach Vice Mayor Bonnie Lowenthal; and Stephanie Stone, Coro Southern California.
