Make a difference by volunteering! Here is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and its members. Here are two local organizations that are seeking help and have asked the Daily Breeze to print out their call-outs in their newspaper.
Banning Museum in Wilmington –
Become a volunteer at the museum. Opportunities include serving as a docent to lead tours of the museum, stagecoach barn, and grounds; helping with conservation and maintenance of antiques; working in the museum shop; and helping with school programs. “Get to Know Us” receptions are held prior to required training classes.
Richstone Family Center in Hawthorne –
Richstone Family Center serves abused women and children. Volunteers can read to children, tutor a child, teach computer skills, teach a craft, prepare a meal or help with fundraising. Schedules are flexible.
For these and other volunteer opportunities, call the Volunteer Center at 310-212-5009, Monday-Friday.
