If you don’t have any plans this weekend and want to enjoy Cali summers head out to this years International Surf Competition & Volleyball Tournament in Manhattan, Hermosa, & Redondo beach.
The International Surf Festival begins at 7 p.m. today with the U.S. Coast Guard Helicopter and L.A. County Lifeguard Rescue Demo and 6-Lifeguard Run Relay. The festival continues on Saturday with the International Body Surfing Championship at the Manhattan Beach Pier and Surfing Championship at the south side of the Hermosa Beach Pier. Other events include the Torrance Sand Soccer Association’s 5th annual Sand Soccer Challenge at Torrance Beach and the Dick Fitzgerald two-mile beach run at Hermosa Beach Pier.
Saturday’s events will conclude at 7 p.m. with the Southern California Lifeguard Champions Ship.
Sunday’s events feature the Velzy-Stevens Pier-to-Pier Paddleboard championship, starting at the Manhattan Beach pier, The Dwight Crum Pier-to-Pier Swim and Lifeguard Dory Race starting at the Hermosa Beach Pier and the Saikley 6-man Tournament Finals.
