The Wellness, Joy, and Caring Adult Day Program
Serving the Harbor Area since 1976, The Wellness, Joy and Caring Program (WJC) is affiliated with the Banning Senior Center, under the Jaycee Program and is funded in part by the Los Angeles Department of Aging. WJC Adult Day Program is a non-profit 501(c) program designed to give respite care to caregivers while attending to their elderly loves ones in a safe environment. This program is designed to improve the quality of life of the seniors while preventing premature institutionalization.
WJC offers a social day care and their goal is to help stimulate the isolated, early Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke victims, and frail elderly through mental and physically stimulating activities.

- Transportation is provided through the Wilmington Multi-Purpose Senior Center at a minimal charge, if participant lives within the service area.
- Must be older than 62 years
- Be able to eat and toilet themselves. Sorry, not licensed for wheelchairs
- Need (TB) Tuberculosis test
- Intake/Evaluation
- Interview to determine fee
