The Beacon Light Mission hopes to open the doors to a women’s shelter this summer. The 6,500-square-foot facility will provide 20 beds for homeless women. Currently, the church can only provide food for those in need and there isn’t a single women’s shelter in the area. This project has been supported solely through donations from about two dozen churches in the South Bay.
The women’s committee of the church has assembled a cookbook and it is being sold for a donation of $10. They are reaching out to other community groups in hopes of raising the needed funding for the shelter.
Doors of Hope will provide homeless women with:
- Temporary shelter
- Daily meals and showers
- Clean clothing
- Counseling and Spiritual guidance
Please donate to this great cause.
